    Photocatalytic treatment of wastewater contaminated with aromatic compounds

    The aim of work is to assess the hazards of organic water pollution, reduction of phenol concentration in waste water using photocatalysis. Following methods of research were used: literature analysis, experiments with phenol photocatalysis, comparison of photocatalyst efficiency. Initial data of the work are: calculations of the conversion efficiency of the photocatalytic decomposition of phenol. Analysis of the main wastewater pollutants and their impact on the environment and living organisms, investigation technologies for purifying water from organic pollutants, studying photocatalysis as a method of purifying water from organic pollutants, studying the effectiveness of photocatalysts, analyze methods for monitoring the content of organic water pollutants, analysis the possibilities of Ukraine for monitoring of organic pollutants in water, are described in the work.
