Airline personnel management system

Іn todаy’s envіronment, аіrlіnes аre under іncreаsіng рressure to delіver іnnovаtіve, technologіcаlly аdvаnced servіces wіth shrіnkіng budgets. Аs а result, resources must be fully utіlіzed аnd focused on the hіghest рrіorіtіes аt аny gіven tіme. Resource mаnаgement іs the effіcіent аnd effectіve develoрment of аn orgаnіzаtіon's resources when they аre needed. Such resources mаy іnclude fіnаncіаl resources, іnventory, humаn skіlls, рroductіon resources, or іnformаtіon technology (ІT). Іneffectіve or suboрtіmаl resource mаnаgement wіll certаіnly leаd to negаtіve consequences such аs рoor рroductіvіty, delаys, decreаsed quаlіty, іncreаsed costs аnd mіssed oррortunіtіes. Current mаrket condіtіons, whіch hаve а sіgnіfіcаnt іmраct on аіrlіnes, аre chаrаcterіzed by the followіng mаіn fаctors: lіberаlіzаtіon of the globаl аіr trаnsрortаtіon mаrket; creаtіon аnd develoрment of аіrlіne аllіаnces; chаnges іn the рreferences of раssengers who аre рlаcіng ever greаter demаnds on the quаlіty of servіce; strengthenіng the рosіtіons of low-cost аіrlіnes; trends towаrds the consolіdаtіon аnd іnternаtіonаlіzаtіon of аіrlіne раrtners; develoрment of new technologіes іn the аіrlіne іndustry (іncludіng e-commerce). The creаted condіtіons рromote the strengthenіng of comрetіtіon between domestіc аnd foreіgn comраnіes, more freely oрerаtіng іn the Turkіsh mаrket. The аbove рroblems hаve а very sрecіfіc monetаry eхрressіon, dіrectly аffectіng sаles volumes аnd results of oрerаtіonаl аctіvіtіes. Airport infrastructure development

The object of study - is the activities of the international airport "Kiev" in the service of cargo and passenger flows. The subject of study - is the ways and methods of developing the logistics infrastructure of the airport, improving the quality of air transport services . The purpose of the thesis is to identify current trends and develop approaches to the development of the logistics infrastructure of Boryspil International Airport. The relevance of the topic of the thesis is due to the need to develop the logistics infrastructure of the airport. Together with consumers, airports have to orient their activities in the provision and use of air transport services, improve their quality and provide mutual economic incentives. Such an approach can only be when at each stage of the air transport process the quality level of each service parameter will correspond to the level of requirements and expectations. The graduation work was carried out according to the materials on the activity of air transport of Ukraine, statistical data of the Boryspil airport. The practical significance of the results lies in the fact that taking into account foreign experience in the formation of a logistics strategy for the development of the airport, the introduction of modern technologies to create comprehensive communications at the Boryspil airport, it is necessary to bet on the development of its logistics infrastructure to meet the needs of all interested parties.
Comparative Characteristics of the Development of the Airline Fleet

Fleet efficiency, like business efficiency, focuses on generating the most output from the least amount of resources. This entails increasing output while keeping expenses down. Productivity, fuel consumption, emissions, routes, and expenses are all factors that go into determining fleet efficiency. One of the most difficult aspects of the airline industry's decision-making process is fleet planning. An excessively large fleet size would result in an airline incurring unnecessary costs, as expanding capital assets make for a significant amount of the airline's operating expenditures. An undersized fleet, on the other hand, would result in a large number of passengers fleeing to other market competitors. Furthermore, with the airline industry's profit margins around the world under constant pressure from long-term exposure to a high-cost and low-fare environment, an irrational fleet composition will inevitably impair the airline's operations. As a result, airlines may need to create a more practical fleet planning method at a strategic level in order to meet passenger demand with reduced costs and more manageable risks.
Drones usage in the airport warehouse system

The research is devoted to development, implementation and technical support of drone system in airport warehouse for reducing labor costs. The object of research. Airport warehouse automation technologies. The subject of research. Drone system in airport warehouse. The aims and objectives of the research. The aim is to create drone system for airport warehouse and assess self-repayment of the system period for three cost scenarios. To achieve the aim during performing, it is necessary to perform a number of tasks:  identify the innovative technologies in warehouse and supply chain research areas and choose one for research;  collect and analyze trends in the warehouse management systems;  calculation of total development, implementation and technical support of the drone system at the airport warehouse and application of it based on three defined scenarios;  assessment of self-payment period of the system. The techniques presented in this research can be easily adapted for larger airport warehouses.
Efficiency of resource potential usage at the aviation enterprise

Object of the master thesis is the company Turkish Airlines. Subject of the master thesis is improvement the efficiency of the airline’s resource potential usage. Main task of the master thesis is to investigate and analyze efficiency of resource potential usage of the airline and possibility to improve it by replacement of old aircraft and changing the age of aircraft fleet. Methods of analysis include comparative analysis, analysis of the production and financial parameters, graphical methods, statistical methods, analysis of relevant literature. During the completion of the master thesis it was established that efficiency usage of resources influences greatly on the revenue management of the airline and its success on air transportation market overall. The conducted analysis of production and financial parameters and graphics introduced of the chosen airline show how the subject of the study influences on airline’s activity. Comparative analysis of efficiency of resource potential usage of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa Group explains which of the airlines uses its resources more efficiently. The material base of this thesis is recommended to be used for the further researches, the educational process and for the professional practical implementation of the proposed improvements by Turkish Airlines.
Estimation of airports activity efficiency

The aim is to investigate airport efficiency in Asia-Pacific region using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) research method. To achieve the aim during performing, it is necessary to perform a number of tasks:  analyze theoretical information about airport operations management and the efficiency and effectiveness;  collect and analyze information about newest global trends in the in the aviation industry and in Asia-Pacific region ;  assessment of operational efficiency of Asia-Pacific airports using Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and The SimareWilson bootstrapping regression analysis. The technique presented in this research (data envelopment analysis) can be easily implemented for efficiency estimation for any operating airport worldwide.
Forecast of international air transportation development in Ukraine

Aviation - one of the most important sectors of the national economy, the effective functioning of which is a necessary condition for structural change, development and conduct of foreign economic activity, meeting the needs of the population and social production in transportation and more. The purpose and main tasks of the passenger traffic forecast are to provide a strategic assessment of potential passenger traffic in potential destinations and to prepare a response plan in advance for possible changes. Influenced by market demands and the needs of changing times, aviation companies are forced to adapt and create new business models - the introduction of business that would be adequate responses to the demands of the external market environment during COVID-19. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is the biggest test the world has faced since World War II. Appearing in Asia late last year, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica, and as of May 13, 4.17 million cases of coronavirus and 287,000 deaths have been confirmed worldwide. The first case of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded on April 4, 2020, and as of November 22, 624,744 cases and 10,951 deaths were confirmed in the country.

Method of informational flows automation at transport enterprise

The current trend of transition to digital methods of creating, transmitting, processing and storing information leads to the widespread introduction of static and dynamic databases, the organization of telecommunications for access to information through terrestrial and satellite information channels. Accordingly, in logistics systems there is a transition to digital technology in all areas of document management, including the replacement of paper transport documents with electronic ones. The integration of information flows and communication support in the transportation of goods has received a general name - telematics. The introduction of information technologies and their integration on the basis of telematics are implemented in transport in several main areas. First of all, it is the active implementation and use of automated control systems of the transport company. Management of any enterprise requires a high level of information and analysis of the information obtained to form a management decision, so companies implement automated control systems (ACS) of different levels for quality collection and processing of information about the enterprise. ACS is based on the integrated use of technical, mathematical, informational and organizational tools. The basis of ACS enterprises is a database - electronic files, which allow detailed structured accounting of all components of the enterprise. Using database management system it is possible to deeply analyze the content of information, make samples, reports, statistical and mathematical calculations. To access the company's employees to the database, a localized computer network of the company is created, through which each specialist can receive the necessary information, process it with appropriate professional software (warehousing, accounting, financial transactions, personnel accounting, payroll and billing, etc.). To protect and save information, access to the database is ranked - each of the network's clients has clearly defined rights to use certain information, change or copy it. The database information is stored on a special dedicated computer - a server that has the appropriate software to work with customer requests. On the working computers of the company's specialists, in addition to the main DBMS, additional programs necessary for the work of the specialist can be installed, for example, an accounting program or a car dispatching system in flight. These programs can interact with the DBMS, and can work autonomously. Automation of management on the basis of local computer networks and databases due to the availability of Internet access implements information integration with all participants in the logistics chain. Additional programs required for the specialist's work may be installed, such as an accounting program or a flight control system on the flight. As a result, it gives an increase in the level of use of the rolling stock of the transport enterprise, optimization of its loading, reduction of costs for fuels and lubricants due to the introduction of route optimization programs, increasing competitiveness and profitability. Ukraine has a powerful transport system, which includes rail, sea, river, road, air and pipeline transport. Each of these modes of transport is a set of means and ways of communication, as well as various technical devices and structures that ensure the operation of all sectors of the economy.
Method of the forwarding company inventory management automation

Inventories are the most expensive elements of logistics systems (LS), because they are not only "frozen" means, but also require significant costs for their maintenance and replenishment. Therefore, the constant development of logistics systems of a typical transport enterprise, in particular, systems of automated management of material resources (MR), is an urgent task. Consumer demand is random and non-stationary, because it is not known in advance when and in what typical transport company will need this or that taxation or equipment. Effective inventory management in real conditions involves the logistics of a large set of various factors, often uncertain in nature. Prompt solution of these complex problems is not always possible, primarily due to the limited psychophysiological capabilities of logistics and the need for real-time decision-making. The way out of this situation is the use of automation in the process of drug inventory management, ie the use of automated inventory management systems of material resources. The development and implementation of automated control systems in the process of inventory management of a typical transport enterprise is an urgent task. The object of study is the process of functioning of the automated management system (AMS) of MR stocks of a typical freight forwarding enterprise The subject of research is a method of synthesis of AMS by MR reserves a typical freight forwarding company. The purpose of the study there is a reduction of the total expenses arising in the course of functioning of multilevel systems, due to creation and use of the automated control systems (AMS) of stocks of material resources.
Methods and tools to ensure information security in aviation enterprises

Objесt of the master paper is information security and cyber security in aviation industry and air transportation enterprises. The thesis investigates Uktrainian International Airlines as an example of an air transportation enterprise. Subjесts of master paper are theoretical and practical aspects of implementing external and internal audit of information security for an air transportation enterprises. Aim of the master paper is to define of information and cyber security threats and reasons for critical infrastructures and air transportation, investigate the information security audit procedure, its main parts and peculiarities, recommendation of information system audit procedure, examination of external and internal audits, propose the way to calculate audit costs and the audit duration. While composing master thesis Ukrainian aviation industry and its’ business activity were investigated. Ukraine International Airlines were taken as an example of an aviation enterprise, because of being a major player on the aviation market in Ukraine. Also, there has been a focus on analizing appropriate ISO/IEC and Ukrainian regulations regarding information security audits. The thesis is recommended to be used in future researche, educational process and for the practical implementation of the proposed improvements by Ukrainian airlines and other air transportation companies.

Methods of air cargo transportation organization

The purpose of the thesis is to develop proposals for improving the methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of automated passenger service systems at the airport, taking into account current trends in the development of information technologies. The object of the study is cargo air transportation in Ukraine, model for assessing the effectiveness of automated control systems of technological processes at the airport. The subject of the study is the contemporary technologies of cargo handling at the airport, development of proposals for improving the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of automated cargo handling service systems at the airport, taking into account the current trends in the development of information technology. Methods of research: methods of system analysis in constructing methodological approaches to studying the object and subject of research, methods and techniques of economic analysis in assessing the development of freight aviation transport in Ukraine. In the project part of the thesis there are calculations of cargo terminal that can serve as effective model for implementation into domestic or international cargo terminal prototype. Materials of the thesis work are recommended to be used in the implementation of new automated systems in the operation of airports and for conducting scientific research and practical activities of airlines.
Model of the airport logistics center functioning with supply chain management

Modern development of the economy is impossible without adequate development of the transport network. It functions as a circulatory system in the human body, delivering passengers and cargo throughout the country and abroad. One of the most important components of the transport system is aviation. It is impossible to create and develop a single market of goods and services, to integrate the Ukrainian economy into the world economic system, to improve the quality of life of Ukrainians, to restore the position of Ukraine as one of the full members of the world community without the proactive development of a comprehensive national transport system. Civil aviation has always been a kind of transport for our country, ensuring access to all its territories and connecting with other countries and continents. Improvement of transport technologies and transport equipment is the main direction of increase of labor productivity at transport and the most important condition of guarantee of safety, environmental and economy of transport processes. The organization of passenger transportation by air involves the organization of such technological processes: regulatory and legal support of transportation; transportation sales; service of passengers and their luggage at the airport (service before departure and after); maintenance of aircraft of the airline; servicing passengers on board an aircraft. The basis of the scheme of research of this influence is the model of traffic of passengers and freight traffic and aircraft fleet (in terms of its technical and economic indicators). In the process of implementation of the model, recommendations for the composition of the park are developed, which corresponds to the studied streams to the greatest extent.
Model of Ukrainian airports development as complex weighted system

The world is changing every day. The unpredictable and rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has completely shattered all the plans and strategies that have been built up over the years. The tense pandemiological situations in the world, state restrictions and the closure of borders between countries to counter the spread of the virus have directly affected the global and domestic aviation industries. And the temporary suspension of airlines and air infrastructure, caused by a sharp drop in passenger traffic, has led not only to the bankruptcy of airlines and massive staff reductions, but also to global changes in the services of the aviation industry as a whole. The International Airport Council also emphasizes the significant level of uncertainty about the prospects for the recovery of the industry. According to forecasts, the resumption of global passenger traffic at the level of 2019 will take place no earlier than 2023, and markets with significant international traffic will resume only by 2024. The situation for the Ukrainian aviation industry has also become difficult. The closure of state borders in many countries to combat the spread of COVID-19 and, as a result of the suspension of scheduled air services in Ukraine from March 17, 2020, has provoked a significant reduction in aviation activities. Therefore, one of the first disappointing situations was experienced by the domestic airport industry. Although a year ago the industry demonstrated the success of rapid development and reaching the mark of passenger turnover through the airports of Ukraine at more than 24 million passengers a year.
Organization and technology of special categories of cargo transportation by air

Objесt of study: processes of transportation of special cargoes with the participation of different types of transport. Subject of study: assessment of the quality and technology of perishable goods transportation during import and export in Ukraine, suggestion of the solutions for transportation technology system improvement. The purpose of the thesis is to develop transport and technological schemes for the delivery of perishable goods and calculate their effectiveness. Research methods: in the thesis methods of induction and deduction, a systematic approach, methods of statistical and economic analysis, methods of developing technological maps, methods of calculating the cost and modeling of the interaction of modes of transport (road and aviation) when transporting fruit from Turkey in Ukraine are used. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the development of transport and technological schemes for the delivery of perishable goods, the interaction of modes of transport and the integration of the transport system of Ukraine were studied, the duration and cost of delivery were calculated on the principle from a fruit enterprise to the final consumer, and the transport economic effect was calculated outside. Thesis materials are recommended to be used in the activities of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, transport and distribution companies that are engaged in the transportation of perishable goods.
Organization and technology of vaccine delivery to Ukraine

The search for a viable COVID-19 vaccine continues around the world, but another pressing issue is already beginning to come to the fore: how to transport billions of doses from factories to hospitals. The European Union, as well as the United States, Britain, China and many other countries, have already entered into preliminary agreements with major pharmaceutical companies to ensure sufficient vaccine production capacity as soon as it becomes available. While Europe boasts significant vaccine production potential and the block's new Vaccination Strategy aims to oblige companies to provide treatment in the EU, a logistical collapse could occur if politicians are not prepared properly. Vaccines need to be transported according to strict regulations, under temperature-controlled conditions to ensure their quality, and they must arrive at their destination within a certain time frame to be effective. According to IATA, it would take 8,000 Jumbo Jet 747 freighters to transport just one batch of vaccine to an estimated 7.8 billion people on the planet. Companies currently have just over 400 such planes in their fleet worldwide. In addition to the problems with air travel, there is also the issue of security. The vaccine - which will be an extremely valuable commodity - will have to be shipped to every corner of the planet, and IATA warns that tampering and theft will become inherent problems. Road transport will also be a critical factor in delivery, but the International Road Transport Union and the European Transport Workers' Federation continue to warn that Europe suffers from a lack of safe and secure parking spaces for trucks that could jeopardize delivery.
Organization of air passenger transportation in cooperation with travel agencies

Air transport is developing rapidly and dynamically and every year occupies a stronger position in the global transport system. The high growth rate of popularity is due to the constant expansion of the geography of travel and the steady trend of reducing travel time in favor of their frequency. Air transportation has become an integral part of the tourism product, which leads to close cooperation between airlines and travel agencies, which involves booking seats and buying tickets through booking systems, concluding an agreement between the travel company and the airline on a quota of seats on scheduled airlines, agency agreement, organization of charter. Such cooperation is now necessary for both parties, as it allows travel companies to obtain favorable rates for the transportation of their tourists, and airlines - to increase sales of their tickets.
