Item Analysis of wear resistance aviation materials with titanium alloys(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Al-Rybaye, Hasan Falah Hasan; Аль-Рубайє, Хасан Фалах ХасанTo begin with I want to mention that every element has its own life cycle. No matter if it corresponds to elements made by human or some naturally created parts. Though speaking about details that are created for different movement purposes the lifecycle runs much faster. The reason for that is that such details are under great influence of friction forces and hence wear becomes the reason why their lifecycle is so short. Among the maing negative factors that can damage different details is fretting-corrosion. No matter what are the modern methods of repairing and recovery, but unfortunately all of the details that are under cyclic movement cannot avoid its influence. So the way out is to use such materials and especially alloys that can reduce losses of surface and elongate duration of details operation. In our diploma work we will make a set of tests on the special machine that imitates cyclic movement. For obtaining the best results that are close to reality we chose titanium alloy ВТ-22 in couple with different materials and try to compare our important results. Due to this results we will understand the best and most reliable couple for titanium alloy. It’s obvious that titanium is very reliable element and has very high characteristics. So we will try to find out the best metal alloy among the counter specimens. Our investigations will be very useful for different plants, factories and design offices. We will determine the best couple that corresponds to 2 main parameters: prime cost and durability.Item Development of method for testing spherical bearings for wear resistance(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Skvortsov, Oleksandr Oleksandrovich; Скворцов, Олександр ОлександровичThe aircraft industry, as one of the most high-tech sectors, is currently undergoing major transformations. This is due before total deep and rapid changes global economy and the new nature of competition. The technology portfolio of the sector is changing very dynamic, replenished with new samples products and not always "open" developments. Some after some time lose their relevance, and not having time to realize their potential, due to the acceleration of the cycle, others move into the category of breakthroughs and become the basis future aviation. A characteristic trend in the current stage of development of aviation technologies is their migration from the military to the civilian sector and vice versa. In other words, technology is evolving "Dual purpose". Currently, several segments in which the turning points of technological sector evolution: aircraft engines, new structural materials and coatings, on-board equipment, aviation fuel. Historically, aviation development has focused on overcoming two barriers – maximum heights and flight speeds.Item Diagnosis the flowing path of a helicopter gas turbine engine(National Aviation University, 2022-11) Algellal, Mohamed; Аджелал, МохамедTechnical diagnostics of complex objects is a direction in science and technology, which is the process of determining the technical state of an object to be diagnosed with a certain accuracy. The technical condition is understood as a set of properties of an object subject to change in the course of production or operation, characterized at a certain point in time by the features established by the technical documentation for this object. The totality of technical conditions, satisfying or not satisfying the requirements that determine the serviceability, operability or correct functioning of the object, forms the corresponding types of the technical state of the object. Determination of the type of technical condition is possible if the technical condition, determined by diagnostics, and the requirements that determine the serviceability, operability and correct functioning of the object, are known, - specified, for example, in the form of a specification in the technical documentation of the nomenclature and permissible values of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of properties object.Item Diagnostic of the gas turbine engine flow area by thermodynamic parameters(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Horbach, ZakharTechnical diagnostics of complex objects is a direction in science and technology, which is the process of determining the technical state of an object to be diagnosed with a certain accuracy. An aircraft gas turbine engine (GTE) is practically a complex technical object (hybrid object). Checking the serviceability, operability and correct functioning of the aviation GTE is necessary during the operation of the latter to ensure flight safety. Rapid troubleshooting of complex engine systems is also required to reduce aircraft downtime, thereby increasing aircraft economy. The main goal of technical diagnostics of an aviation GTE is the effective organization of processes for assessing its technical condition, which is based on the main provisions of the general theory of technical diagnostics, methods for constructing and analyzing mathematical models of diagnosed objects, and methods for constructing diagnostic algorithms.Item Glider diagnostic technique of aircraft power plants(National Aviation University, 2022-11) Maksymov, Adam; Максимов, АдамToday gas turbine engines are an integral part of life of almost the entire population of the Earth. They are widely used in power plants of different types, aviation (civil and military), shipbuilding, etc. Work on improvement of gas turbine engines in different scientific branches, including development of new metals, is carried out. One of the main areas of research in aviation metals regarding gas turbine engines is the development of lower weight materials or heat resistant alloys working at critical temperatures for the metal, i.e. above 1050°C. Particularly acute is the issue of component heat resistance (thermal stability of material parts) operating under conditions that are almost constantly approaching critical temperatures. The reason for this is that the possibility of increasing the temperature at which the components of a gas turbine engine also increases its efficiency and power characteristics. That is why the fact that the search for ways to improve GTE parameters is indisputably important, and confirms the relevance of the topic. Relevance of the work lies in the fact that in Ukraine gas turbine engines are widely used. Due to the fact that gas turbine engines are manufactured in our country and are the object of successful export, as well as repaired foreign-made gas turbines (such as aircraft used in the aircraft operated by Ukrainian airlines), there is a need to explore new ways to improve the characteristics of gas turbine engine, which can be used both in the design and in the repair. The aim of the study is to investigate methods of GTE flow part diagnostics. The object of the research is GTE and parts of the flow part. The subject of the research is the method of GTE flow part diagnostics.Item Improvement of airworthiness retaining system of Boeing family aircrafts based on threat identification and risks management at maintenance(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Tverytinov, YehorThreat identification and risk management are fundamental to safety, while safety is the foundation and roof of all aviation. The hazard to flight safety is the most basic issue, and this is exactly what each airline seeks to reduce. Despite the fact that aviation accidents and incidents cannot be excluded from aviation, since there is a human factor everywhere, risks and threats can be controlled and predicted. If we neglect the safety of flights in airlines, then the demand for aviation relocation will fall, which at the same time is simply unrealistic, paradoxical, people are simply accustomed to airplanes.Item Improvement of airworthiness retaining system of Mi-8 helicopter family based on threat identification and risks management at maintenance(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Kucherenko, Мikita Victorovich; Кучеренко, Микита ВікторовичIdentification of threats and risk management are fundamental for security, and safety. Foundation and roof of all aviation. Flight safety risks is the most basic question and this is exactly what each airline is committed to reduce. Despite the fact of that aviation and many incidents cannot be excluded of aviation, since everywhere there is a human factor, Risks and threats can be monitored and predicted. If we neglect the safety of flights in the airline, Than the demand for aviation movement will fall, which at the same time is simply unreal, people just got used to the plane.Item Improvement of high-pressure turbine blade cooling of a double-circuit turbojet engine for a medium-haul aircraft(National Aviation University, 2022-11) Vashcenko, Yaroslav; Ващенко, Ярослав ВасильовичOne of the most dynamically developing varieties of aviation GTE in recent years are twin-circuit turbojet engines (turbojet engines) with take-off thrust less than 10 tc, designed for regional aircraft. Aircraft of this class, which occupy an intermediate position between the aircraft of local lines and near main lines, are equipped mainly with double-circuit engines. Relevance of the topic Creation of advanced gas turbine engines, both for aviation technology and for industrial applications in the production and generation of electricity, in gas pumping units and other areas is impossible without a comprehensive increase in the parameters of the operating cycle (the degree of pressure increase in the compressor, gas temperature at the inlet to the turbine). At present, the role and influence of research works in the creation of new GTD has significantly increased. The world aircraft engine industry is one of the most dynamically developing industries. The financial capacity of the world market of gas turbine equipment is very large. The market of production and maintenance of aircraft engines is attractive, many countries of Europe, America and Asia are trying to enter it Three companies are developers of regional aircraft (with TRDD): Embraer (Brazil) - ERJ type; Bombardier (Canada) - CRJ type; BAe Systems Regional Aircraft (UK) - Avro RJ type. Regional aircraft of the considered class are designed to carry 35-110 passengers and have a maximum take-off weight of 15500 ... 50000 kg. The maximum flight range for standard modifications is 1650 ... 3100 km and 2850 ... 4300 km with an increased range. The power plant of most regional aircraft includes two main engines. As a result of the implementation of technical solutions in modern turbofan engines for regional aircraft, the indicators have been achieved: - specific fuel consumption 0.63 ... 0.68 kg / kgs - h; specific weight 0.19 ... 0.22 10 kg / kgs; - operation according to technical condition since commissioning, operating time on the "wing" - not less than 10000 ... 12000 hours; - reduction of service cost by 20 ... 30%; - the level of emission of harmful substances is 40 ... 50% lower than the existing requirements; - noise level - 15 ... 20 dB below the existing requirements. An important feature of the considered power plants is the way of placing the engines: on the fuselage or under the wing. For regional aircraft with a large take-off weight, the option of installing engines on pylons under the wing is preferable. The way the engine is placed on the aircraft affects the choice of its scheme. The main developers and manufacturers of turbofan engines for regional aircraft abroad are four companies: General Electric (USA) - CF34 engines; Honeywell (USA) - LF507-1F, AS900 engines; Rolls - Royce (UK) - AE3007A, AE3007A1 engines; Pratt & Whitney (Canada) - PW306B, PW800 engines.Item Improvement of the Boeing 737 airworthiness system based on the implementation of European aviation regulations(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Kolpakov, OleksandrOne of the fundamental things in the aviation industry is airworthiness. Airworthiness is a characteristic of an aircraft, which is ensured by the principles envisaged and implemented in its design and performance parameters and allows a safe flight to be carried out under the expected conditions and with established operating methods. The expected operating conditions include the range of design conditions defined by the airworthiness standards, as well as the operating limits and recommended flight conditions established for a given aircraft type at the time of certification. Continuing airworthiness of aircraft - one of the most important factors of safety in civil aviation and the efficiency of the air transport industry today. This paper will analyze the use of the airline's Boeing 737 fleet, analyze the reliability system and the maintenance program. Also, the work will pay attention to the analysis of regulatory documents that regulate the activities of organizations for maintenance and Continuing airworthiness. Innovative paperless manufacturing methods are proposed as suggestions for improving the airworthiness system. The issue of improving the system of training professional personnel in this area is also raised, based on the introduction of European aviation regulations.Item Improving of wear resistance of aeronautical equipment parts by gas-thermal coatings(National Aviation University, 2022-11) Zadniprianyi, Artem; Задніпряний, АртемToday almost all fields of engineering, manufacturing building constructions, energy, engine, aerospace, as well as in other areas of new technology widely use thermal coatings. With coatings we can solve many problems, increase of weather resistance, operational stability, adhesion, thermal stability, erosion resistance, protective properties and chemical resistance for calendar resource. But the most important problem is to increase the wear resistance of parts, assemblies of machines. Application of protective wear-resistant coatings - is one of the most effective means of struggling with fretting wear. Currently, developed and used number of technological methods and a large range of materials that allow to obtain coatings with high wear resistance. In the production and repair of aviation equipment parts as wear-resistant coatings, the most widely used coating derived by gas-thermal spraying methods. One of the areas in the protective coating is by plasma spraying. With high performance spraying, this technological method allows to deposit coatings with a wide range of characteristics, and apply them to restore dimensions of worn parts. Implementation of the hot-gas methods of applying protective coatings only effective when properly choosing the material and its properties matching technological capabilities specific spraying techniques. However, information about the properties of powders produced, for lack of wear-resistant coatings and existing construction incomplete and contradictory.Item Improving the efficiency of maintenance of structural elements of the airframe(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Avdieienko, Dmytro OleksandrovychAviation industry grows from year to year because of modern aircraft development. The term „safety‟ is socially made and relative organisational property dependent upon organisational meanings, values and safety practice. A different aviation technologies and techniques are used to ensure proper level of flights safety. The creation of new airplanes makes it possible, satisfying the customer needs and providing good reliability and safety, for example: Boeing - 737 NG, Airbus - 320, Boeing - 777, Airbus – 330, etc. Presently, aviation enjoys an enviable rate of reliability, safely transporting millions of passengers each day. However, as the sheer number of passengers and departures increase, accidents will likely experience a similar increase. Though the mishap rate remains exceedingly low, extrapolating upon the current rate of growth in air travel. Successful operation of modern aviation techniques is possible only at a high level and perfection of system of maintenance service and repair at which the basic purposes of maintenance service and repair are achieved at the minimal labor expenses, costs and an idle time of aircraft at maintenance service.Item Improving the efficiency of maintenance of structural elements of the airframe(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Konovchenko, Artem Volodymyrovych; Коновченко, Артем ВолодимировичIn the conditions of the modern world market, the process of technical operation to maintain the required level the serviceability of the aircraft fleet in airlines should be economically profitable in terms of labor, time and material costs. The solution to this problem can be achieved by planning and managing the activities of airlines in order to improve the efficiency of the process technical operation of civil aviation aircraft. Planning and implementation of activities, related to the activities of airlines to improve the reliability of aviation equipment, the safety and regularity of flights, the intensity of the use of aircraft and their efficiency the process of technical operation, requires the organization of joint work and interaction of the developer, aircraft manufacturer and operator. In this work substantiates the need to develop a technology for planning and implementing measures related to the activities of airlines, which allows, in stages, according to the activities of the developer, manufacturer and operator of aircraft, to establish the relationship and influence on the level of serviceability of the fleet, thereby increasing the efficiency of the process. Technical operation by all possible control actions. A comprehensive technology has been developed to improve the efficiency of the process of technical operation of aircraft, including measures in the areas of "Aircraft reliability", "Technology", "Personnel", "Equipment", "Materials", in order to increase the level of serviceability of the aircraft fleet. The integrated technology is presented in the form of a route technologies with an abbreviated description of the set of activities in the directions in the route map, indicating the entrances and exits at each stage. The advantages of using complex technology are shown on the example of improving one of the target indicators of the efficiency of the process of technical operation of aircraft.Item Improving the information support of the processes of maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Liakh, Vladyslav; Лях, ВладиславThe object of research is the system of organization and management of aircraft maintenance processes. Statistics shows that about 80 % of failures in the machines work occur as the result of wear and destruction of friction surfaces of machines details. Wear leads to the decreasing of the products functional qualities and to the loss of their consumer value. Increasing of products wearability contribute both and applying of materials with the high wear resistance, and design decisions, ensuring the compensation of wear, redundancy of wearability, common improving of friction conditions (using of high quality lubricants, protection from the abrasive influence, for example: welding deposition, thermal spraying, metallization and others). Wear can be considered as the mechanical process, complicated by the actions of physical and chemical factors, which cause the durability decreasing of surface layer microvolumes. Due to the wear the shaped and sizes of the details are changed, it results in the increasing of gaps in the movable connections, disruption of fit density of immovable connections. At the detail wear limit occurrence, its further using is impossible, because of disruption of node or mechanism normal work that can result in accident.Item Increasing the service life of aircraft parts with vacuum arc coatings(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Lukianenko, Yevhenii Viktorovich; Лук'яненко, Євгеній ВкторовичEnsuring high levels of durability and wear resistance of friction parts is a decisive factor in improving reliability and service life of modern machines. Statistics shows that about 80% of faults in the machines are caused by wear and fracture of friction surfaces of machine parts. For aircraft the loss of details performance in the friction nodes is most often associated with the development of fretting. The landing gear details are one the most critical details of modern passenger and cargo aircrafts. The analysis of landing gear materials revealed that such world famous companies as Boeing, Airbus, Antonov more often use titanium alloys for landing gear details production. These alloys meet the working conditions of the landing gear in terms of endurance, but they have low wear resistance. With the help of coatings application many problems can be solved. Such as improving weather resistance and operational stability, grip strength, heat resistance, erosion resistance, protective properties and chemical resistance for a calendar resource. Therefore it is necessary to choose the coating to apply it on the details friction surfaces which can not only increase the wear resistance of new components, but can be used during the restoration processes.Item Increasing the wear-resistance of aircraft Boeing 737 landing gear parts(National Aviation University, 2022-11) Astakhov, Yehor; Астахов, ЄгорOne of the most important conditions for ensuring a given level of flight safety and increasing the efficiency of using aircraft is the development and implementation into practice of effective lubricating materials and equipment for assessing their technical condition. The development of such lubricating materials is of particular relevance for such a complex dynamic object as a main landing gear during its operation according to its technical condition. Relevance of the topic One of the most difficult tasks in the technical operation of aviation equipment is the diagnosis of the highly loaded structure elements and assemblys. According to ICAO, the occurrence of about 28-32% of incidents on the aircraft occurs precisely on landing gear. The functioning of the landing gear is based on complex physicochemical processes that take place in the trunnion pin assembly of the main landing gear and can cause the appearance of damaged structural units, and therefore, the diagnostics of the structural elements of the landing gear of a modern turbojet aircraft is carried out on the basis of the methods of parametric identification of the trouble shoot of the landing gear system. The main purpose of diagnostics is to make a decision about the lubricating materials of the controlled object, i.e. recognition of the state (classification) of an object according to the diagnostic signs determined during the monitoring process is the final result of the diagnostic process. The reliability of the diagnosis as a whole largely depends on the quality and efficiency of the recognition. Therefore, the development of a state classifier is an important and urgent task in solving the general problem of monitoring and timely detection of damage to complex dynamic objects in the process of their functioning.Item Influence of human factor on continued airworthiness system efficiency(National Aviation University, 2021-12) Ovcharenko, Daria; Овчаренко, ДарьяAviation safety depends largely on maintenance. When will it be not done correctly, it contributes a significant share aviation accidents and incidents. Some examples of maintenance errors are incorrectly installed parts and the necessary checks are not performed. in comparison with many other threats to aviation security there may be errors in aviation maintenance technicians (AMT). harder to detect. Often these errors are present but are not visible and have the potential to remain latent, affecting safe operation of aircraft for a longer period of time. AMTs face a set of unique human factors in aviation. They often work in the evenings or early in the morning, in confined spaces, on platforms that are at a high level and in various adverse temperatures / humidity conditions. Work can be physically stressful, but also requires attention to detail. By nature of maintenance tasks, AMT usually spend more time to prepare for the task than to actually perform it. Right documentation of all maintenance work is a key element, and AMTs usually spend the same amount of time updating maintenance logs of how they do the job.Item Investigation of measures improvement of turbine constructive element gas turbine engine cooling for middle range aircrafts(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Bakalo, Evhenii MykolayovichAdvanced heat transfer and cooling techniques form one of the major pillars supporting the continuing development of high efficiency, high power output gas turbine engines. Conventional gas turbine thermal management technology is composed of five main elements including internal convective cooling, external surface fi lm cooling, materials selection, thermal-mechanical design at the component and system levels, and selection and/or pre-treatment of the coolant fluid. The technology of cooling gas turbine components, primarily via internal convective flows of single-phase gases and external surface fi lm cooling with air, has developed over the years into very complex geometries involving many differing surfaces, architectures, and fluid-surface interactions. The fundamental aim of this technology area is to obtain the highest overall cooling effectiveness with the lowest possible penalty on the thermodynamic cycle performance. As a thermodynamic Brayton cycle, the efficiency of the gas turbine engine can be raised substantially by increasing the fi ring temperature of the turbine. Modern gas turbine systems are fired at temperatures far in excess of the material melting temperature limits.Item Investigation of methods improvement of turbofan turbojet engines combustion chambers main characteristics(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Svichkar, SerhiiAircraft engines produce emissions that are similar to other emissions resulting from fossil fuel combustion. However, aircraft emissions are unusual in that a significant proportion is emitted at altitude. These emissions give rise to important environmental concerns regarding their global impact and their effect on local air quality at ground level. Aircraft emit gases and particles which alter the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases, trigger the formation of condensation trails and may increase cirrus cloudiness, all of which contribute to climate change. Aircraft are estimated to contribute about 3.5 per cent of the total radiative forcing (a measure of change in climate) by all human activities and that this percentage, which excludes the effects of possible changes in cirrus clouds, was projected to grow. The effects of some types of aircraft emissions are well understood, and the effects of others are not, and a number of key areas of scientific uncertainty that limit the ability to project aviation impacts on climate and ozone.Item Maintenance of fuselage using modern technological systems for diagnostics(National Aviation University, 2020-12) Udoh, Temidayo AkpamaAs in stands in today’s modern age with all the technological advancement and knowledge of materials, the aviation industry is evolving in all aspects creating the necessity for the advancement of maintenance as well. The aircraft fuselage is a very important unit and largest of all, which carries passengers and cargo. Several analysis have been carried out in regards to the substitution of aluminum alloys for composite materials as the structural material for most commercial fuselage construction. This move has been backed based on results of extensive analysis and broad research while considering both the positive and negative points, which we will analyze in part 1. Maintenance is a very important aspect of an aircraft service life simply because it directly affects how much time the aircraft spends on the runway and hanger meaning it is vital to the productivity of the aircraft. Maintenance errors for the past several years have been kept to a minimum of about 5 percent, which is very much effective.
